A Number + An Expert

In which MigrationWatch, the EDL-BBC compact, and various other things are prefigured.

Good stuff.

"When did building up a successful racist party become, in the BBC's language, a remarkable achievement?"

It was shown as part of Open Door, which was: "a programme produced by the BBC's Community Programme Unit. It was first broadcast on 2 April 1973. The programme gave people control of the airwaves and was a platform for the public to talk about its own issues and give their own views without editorial input."

Rather a gulf from that to anything now.
